Grateful for coffee, with an embarrassing amount of sweetener and hot chocolate mix, but no alcohol.
Grateful for a bright, sunny day with snow on the ground.
Grateful for a flexible work schedule which allows me to telework.
Grateful to be of service.
Grateful we ran out of dog food, because the dogs had eggs for breakfast and they loved it.
Grateful for starting the day slowly in my warm bed.
Grateful that I can watch Schitt's Creek while I work today - hilarious!
Grateful that other peoples' bad moods and irrational behavior don't completely drag me down like they used to.
SO grateful for SR, and all of you!

Grateful for a good nights sleep, no hangover or guilt.
Grateful to get the school run done safely in all the snow we have this morning.
Grateful to laugh this morning with the 3 g.children, on our way to school, me driving, we spotted a big snowman and as we were looking at it a naughty little dog trotted up, cocked his leg up and christened it. Still laughing now.
Grateful my mum stayed home and didn't venture out in the snow.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful to have prepared dinner for this evening.
Grateful to be here with you all, thanks for your support x

Grateful that my car started this morning. It's 0 F, but the wind chill makes it a lot colder. Grateful that my strays are using their shelters.

Grateful that Billie does her business in the bitter cold. I always praise her for a good potty.

Grateful for the freedom of sobriety.

Grateful to be starting a relationship with my love interest (who barely drinks at all) without the shameful feeling that I have something to hide and fear of being found out.

Grateful to be able to relax and be at peace with her and not feel anxious for a drink or the temptation to sneak one or worrying that she thought I was drinking too much. (She knows I'm in recovery, but that's different.)

That really was an insane and miserable way of living before. And so dishonest....

Numblady -- no problem! I thought you were coining a nickname!

Grateful for coffee, made in my bathroom coffee pot so I don't have to go downstairs and wake the dogs.
Grateful that I can lock down an important project today.
Grateful that I have the ability to do my best, and then detach from the outcome.
Grateful that school was cancelled rather than a delayed opening.
Grateful for warm showers.
Grateful that my kids are smart and capable.
Grateful that this week is almost over, and soon, what is done will be done.
Grateful for the internet.
Grateful to be of service.
SO grateful to SR, and everyone on this thread!

Grateful that after living in Chicago for 3 years I realized I was not of the stuff it takes to live in that kind of weather! Like Fearless, sending warm thoughts that way!
Grateful I didn’t get stuck at the Capitol all day.
Grateful that I feel like I pass out a lot now but it’s from being tired, genuinely and honestly tired.
Grateful for black coffee. And for coffee in any form. Cappuccino, sweetened, unsweetened. I like it almost any way I can get it but mostly just drink plain and black.
Grateful for soft warm blankets.
Grateful for the ridiculousness of my twenty pound cat stretching his big body and belly up our glass front door and scratching to be let in.
Grateful to be here with all of you.

It would be easy to feel victimized by the polar vortex this morning. Heat failing, internet is intermittent. Cancellations have messed up my work schedule. Coworkers are impatient and rude.

So, more than anything, I'm so grateful I'm SOBER and able to recognize how lucky I am. None of these little things matter. I have shelter. Those I love have shelter. I have a warm cup of coffee and food to eat. I have blankets, socks, and sweaters.

Gratitude shows me how to look outward. My heart goes out to anyone, human or animal, caught out in the cold today. No one deserves to suffer. I'm grateful for everyone who is caring for or donating to services helping the poor and stray animals. I hope everyone weathers the storm and takes care of one another.

Palmersage, I’ve thought about a little coffee station in my bathroom, too. Or even in the bedroom right next to the nightstand. This would be for the days my husband is up early for work travel and doesn’t make me coffee. I wouldn’t even have to drag my lazy butt downstairs.
Grateful that my 24 lb cat is down to 18 lbs after being on a diet for a year
Grateful that my eye bags were due to allergies, not alcohol. Grateful they are gone this morning thanks to a decongestant and sinus rinse last night
Grateful to a coworker who helped me with a complex work problem
Grateful to be able to offer support to a friend struggling with special needs parenting. Her son is much younger than mine.
Grateful my son’s class is standing up to a bully problem and the school is taking action too.
Grateful for the rain.
Grateful for this quote I heard a long time ago: an inconvenience is an adventure in disguise. It helps me reframe my thinking about what I might otherwise consider a problem
Grateful to be walking this path with all of you

Grateful not to be drinking today.
Grateful I covered the windscreen on my car last night and didn't have to scrape so much ice.
Grateful to do the school run safely in the freezing fog.
Grateful my mum stayed at home again, she'll be feeling like she's got cabin fever, but her safety comes first.
Grateful to think things through before I reply to text messages from my wayward son
Grateful to avoid drama.
Grateful my little cat is curled up purring beside me.
Grateful for my hat and gloves.
Grateful for a warm house, warm clothes, food in my cupboards and hot water.
Grateful to you all for being part of my journey.
