Speaking about cat litter trays and litter, my naughty little cat piddles in the litter just fine but when she's doing a poop she hangs her backside over the edge of the tray and it lands on the floor. Not the best thing to come downstairs to in a morning

Grateful for another beautiful, sunny, warm and sober day.
Grateful to do the school run safely.
Grateful to take my car into the dealership this morning for them to do necessary work on it and grateful they gave me a lovely new courtesey car to use for a few days. I won't want to give it back.
Grateful to return my brother's car safely to him and grateful he lent it to me.
Grateful for a phone call from my daughter.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful to you all for the support you give to me and everyone else on the grats threads

Fearless, forgot to say HBD to your son too! I wish I could say mine was content reading a book instead of playing video games, which I think you mentioned a while back. It sounds like you’re raising an avid reader, which is awesome!

Grateful to have this sheltered little space of our own creation (I mean, not literally but just the daily posting part) to come to when things in life feel tough.
Grateful for the symphony of trees dropping and regaining their foliage at different times.
Grateful we had a nice trip out of town even if it ended up in a serious argument/talk with my husband.
Grateful for Dropbox and cloud storage in general. From my phone I can pretty easily call up video or photos from any year of the kids’ lives almost instantly. How cool is it to live in this age??!
Grateful for the chance to be a kinder person today than I was yesterday.
Grateful to be here.

Lol, Daisy
Thanks, Numblady! The issues with my son have never been academic, fortunately. He has Aspergers, and is very high functioning but has a lot of anxiety and other sensory and emotional stuff. Grateful for his therapist. In fact he has an appt today
Grateful my husband and I are a united front lately, especially dealing with parenting challenges
Grateful one of my work meetings got canceled so I have more time to catch up
Grateful for all of you

Daisy - Condolences.
Grateful that the house is still standing after 50mph winds all night. It continues today. We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.
Grateful for a Monday morning not filled with dread, regret, & misery.
Grateful for the special person reading this.

Two gratefulness posts within 2 days? Oh go on then.

Last night my wife went out with a friend for dinner. I stayed in. The friend finished dinner and had a sudden dizzy spell and was unable to drive home. My wife had already had a large glass of wine.

On any day, of any week, in the last few months, there is NO way I'd have been able to drive her friend home.

But I could. Because I was sober.

Gratefulness for the opportunity to serve (in my own small way).

Grateful that I went out last night for a semi-work, semi-social get together and was very up front about quitting drinking. Grateful to remain clear headed while the others got Increasingly buzzed. Grateful to be able to genuinely and safely offer a ride home (they didn’t take it).
Grateful I was only up part of the night worrying about work.
Grateful to be able to come here to try and pull myself out of a pity part about the relentlessness of my job.
Grateful for all of you.

Bless you! for being such a good son

Our mamas do so deserve patience, understanding and love. My mama is suffering the effects of dementia - family is learning how to best be of help, to be patient, to be there for her as she always was for us.

Oooooh Deserto, pray tell..
Rusty, that's the sort of thing I would do, how kind of them to squeeze her in though.
Anaya I'm sorry to read that your mum has Dementia, there are a few of us here who have been or are in the same position with elderly parents, you have my full sympathy. Dementia is such a cruel disease.

Grateful to be sober on this beautiful warm sunny February day. I don't know what's going on with our weather, this time last year it was snowing, today I'm in short sleeves.
Grateful to have a productive meeting with the headmistress at my little grandson's school.
Grateful my head ache has lifted and my stress levels have calmed down.
Grateful to watch my little cat playing in the sunshine, she's meowing at the birds as if to say 'come down here to me so I can eat you.'
Grateful to give my mum a lift into town and to drop her shopping off at her house.
Grateful for a phone call from my daughter.
Grateful to be here with you all. xx
