Smile Learning to be grateful

[FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=7][COLOR=Teal][I]
I have been learning about becoming grateful -- and for me starting out simply is the best way because otherwise things seem too big and me so small that I would never be grateful. So I have started reminding myself to be grateful for even silly things for much like when we were kids in elementary school -- by doing something over and over and over again -- it becomes second nature.

So this morning it was cold and I had to start my car and wait for it to get warm and I turned on the radio and the song "Knocking on Heaven's Door" was playing by Guns N' Roses and then Someday by Nickelback played. It really did kinda set my tone for starting out the day. I fail to take credit for getting anything from this but am learning that it makes me feel good to think gee I am glad I was here at this exact moment in time and I got to hear that song.

Thanks and have a great day!!

Hi Teresa,and welcome to SoberRecovery.Its the little things we often forget to be grateful for.And I can relate to the music thing.Music is like food for me.The G-n-R version of knockin on heavens door is a great tune.
