Grateful I have a reliable car to lend my brother when his is being worked on. :)

Grateful my son’s asperger’s is mild and he has learned a lot about being social through therapy and other support. Grateful he is making new friends
Grateful to admire the art in my home, some of which is my own. It’s silly and amateur but it has meaning to me and I like it. I like to just think of it as abstract :)
Grateful to talk to my Dad. He is going in to a deep depression. He does not want me to visit because he wants more time to heal. I think it’s a macho generation thing. I told him I am making arrangements to come out in a few weeks, no if’s ands or but’s. Grateful that until then he has lots of support around him and I know he is being taken care of
Grateful that I am reaching an acceptance that the issues my dad is facing are related to old age and nothing will change this, and to understand that we all will eventually die and that is ok. The spirit never really dies. Sad that even though my dad could live another 10 years, the upcoming visit could be the last time to see him. Who knows? Grateful that eventually my Dad will die from natural causes, and that although he ate probably one too many fast food cheeseburgers, he never took any substances including alcohol.
Grateful for the release that sober crying brings
Grateful that I am never alone and for the support of this forum.
