Yep, It's My Belly Button Birthday
Belly button birthdays are just as special as those
birthdays celebrated in recovery. Do, you have a
birthday close to Christmas?
Well, today is my belly button birthday.
Today i'm grateful to be alive and sober at my age.
What am I doing special today? Well, hubby just left
to go pick us up some take out Chinese food for lunch.
I like the steamed broccoli with shrimp with a side
order of fried Wontons. dipping sauce and a shrimp
eggroll. Something I haven't eaten in sometime now,
so it will be a nice treat.
Later I will have a fruit tart i froze that I grabbed from
Whole Foods. It's also a sweet treat that I don't get too
often anymore.
Other than that, Ive been playing outside in my garden
of paradise waiting for Santa to bring me a new greenhouse
to protect my potted plants from the cold weather soon
to come.
You guys here in SR are like my family and I am grateful
to be in company of mind liked folks like me who are trudging
thru life sober, content and free from addiction.
I'm have a party and all you guys are welcome.

As a matter of fact, you came to mind today when I learned
that Nelly Korda and her famous Tennis player dad will be
playing this weekend with other fathers and sons playing for
2 days in the PNC Championship.
They will be playing at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at
Grande Lakes in Orlando and should be fun to watch.

Free, those Amaryllis bulbs when they bloom, theywill be stunning with their huge booms. One of my beautiful
dark red ones have just bloomed today. Well. the 2 buds
on the side of the thick stem have and the one in the center,
probably tomorrow.
All the Amaryllis plants make a holiday statement and
sure to please wherever they bloom and will not disappoint.

Thank you both sooooo much for the lovely butterfly
card and wishes. Both made my heart grow a little
larger filled with appreciation, love, care and friendship
from you guys.
My day was simple and hubby took me to all the hot
spots around town, like out of the way nurseries, statuary,
and then some delicious Chinese take out. Yum...!!!!
But the icing on the cake is being here with you guys
day after day. One of my lifelines I hold tightly to while
living life in recovery.
