Morning Gratitude ~ Part 83
Thanks to the pale gray sky and the morning rain. Perfect weather for my coffee, which I'm drinking while I watch traffic below from my apartment window. Thanks to the cars whooshing by on the wet streets. As each of you passes, I wonder where are you going, and I wish you good luck on your journey. I woke up feeling connected to the world. Grateful to be here and be a part of it.
I am grateful that I woke up sober
I am grateful that I stayed home/in town for my twins homecoming dance
I’m grateful to be meeting up with two girlfriends tomorrow
I am grateful for all my SR friends for supporting me through breaking away from controlling/manipulative ABF
Grateful for the prayers and positive thoughts surrounding the tough changes I am making in my my life

Grateful it’s Saturday and the plans today
Grateful for an online article I found about moms with special needs kids and the increased risk of alcoholism, and support resources

Grateful for my SR friends
Just had a great morning, woke up feeling good. Drank a pot of strong black coffee, checked up on world happenings on this fancy internet thing they have now. Made myself one of my famous egg cheese sausage tacos, was absolutely delicious. (I'll have to try that roast beef breakfast sandwich, Glimmer!)
And all of these blessings were only there for me to enjoy because of my sobriety, for which I'll never stop being grateful. None of this happens if I'm drunk last night, or drinking this morning, or planning my drinking for later.

Grateful I slept more than 5 hours
Grateful it’s Sunday and I don’t have to work
Grateful I have two friends coming over
Grateful I haven’t fallen for my ABF mind games
Grateful for SR
