Grateful to be here, sober & sensible even though I'm late to the party.

Grateful that the day turned out successful when it had seemed like I was destined to spend it dragging and unmotivated, lying down with a cold compress on my head.

Grateful for a fantastic show to binge watch—one that I never thought I’d like (Game of Thrones).

My HS guidance counselor used to say to me, “Kathy, Kathy, Kathy—how can anybody so intelligent be so dumb?”

Grateful to remember my dad. He's been gone a long time, but I sure miss him sometimes.

Grateful for the beautiful world all around me - I'm so glad I don't hide from it anymore.

Grateful I can be myself here.

Grateful that from recovery I got the ability to just buck up and get unpleasant duties done rather than and shirking them.

(I’m talking about you, pulling weeds!)

Grateful to be up in the morning because I went to bed with my husband, slept soundly and woke up because I was no longer tired...feeling ready to start a brand new day! (rather than up because I cannot sleep, filled with anxiety after staying up late so I can get in a few more drinks after my hubby went to sleep, feeling tired and longing to nap the morning away). Grateful the World Cup is on to watch with my coffee this morning!
