Grateful for beating my longest sobriety streak
26 days sober. Never have I been able to stay sober this long. Last one was only 18 days. I’ve been going to AA meetings about once or twice a week. On my off days. I’m excited to get my first AA chip at 30 days. I went out with my friends a few days ago and managed not to drink, I ended up drinking energy drinks instead, it was definitely a lot different and sort of boring since my friends were more focused on getting weed or beer whereas I was more focused on what activity we could do for the day. But at least I was able to remember everything and didn’t spend much money. I’m dedicated to not drinking for good. And with each passing day I set the sobriety bar a little higher.
Congratulations on 26 days, NueLyfe!
The longer you're sober, I think you'll find a new normal and realize life is quite wonderful without alcohol or drugs. Being present is much more enjoyable for me.
Keep up the great work!
