Grateful for hard times
I never thought I would say this but today I am grateful for all of the dark times I have been through, particularly over the last couple years. Had it not been for these experiences, I would not be where I am today. I would not have my strength, my substance, depth or compassion. I am where I am today partly by circumstance, partly by choice. The best choice I have ever made for myself is to stop drinking. It's been almost a year and I love my life!
