I am grateful for SR

Everyone has inspired me to make this day one. I have been in and out of recovery for many years. But after reading and learning from everyone here, I am ready to make the commitment. I plan to post every day and will need support. I drink four glasses of wine every nite after work and I am sick of it and ashamed that I have never been able to make anything stick.

I have looked at all of the recovery programs, AA, Smart Recovery, etc
and I do not have much clarity on which one to use. I am going to make my big plan today and it starts here with being grateful and trying to be courageous. I have really been too scared to post. I would like to use online meetings due to my crazy work schedule but I am not sure how they work.

Thank you from Sunshine.

Well done on starting your day one, Sunshine.

What helped me through the first few days was plenty of na fluids, good quality healthy food, gentle exercise and resting. Wishing you well.

Thank you for responding. I realize that trying to do this alone won't work.

I very much agree. We need support with this journey. You can do it. It is possible.

Support was key for me, Sunshine. I think you'll find it makes a difference for you too.

I researched all the programs available and chose what suited me and my needs. I actually combined a few.

Today is a great day to leave shame behind you. Be proud of yourself for taking action! You can do this.

OK. Home sober. I am learning how to post and respond. Thank you. I gotta talk to people as I live with this alone. My wonderful daughter lives with me. Day 2 ahead and I will go to other forums. This was my start. I love gratitude. It helps me get out of any negative. I know I am not very expressive but I will be!
