25 days sober
I am grateful for being on day 25. I haven't achieved this in years. I kept relapsing after about a week....
I am grateful for an amazing psychiatrist who finally listened and put me on (the Canadian version of) Antabuse. I couldn't have done this without his help.
I'm so hopeful!

I feel pretty good! My sleeping schedule is still really whacky, but I'm keeping my optimism. I've been lucky because I have been on vacation for the past month, but I go back to work on Monday so I'm a little anxious. Thank you for asking me!
Well done on 25 days. Just to say about anatabuse - I took it to try to stop drinking, nearly died and it threw my recovery programme completely out of kilter. I now use different techniques to stay sober - cognitive, not chemical. Just wondering why your psychiatrist has gone for the medical option? But as is often said, this is not a forum on which to discuss medical advice - that's for the professionals. I simply share my experience which was the antabuse was not the answer for me.
