My Gratitude List
My Gratitude List
I have been wallowing in anxiety and depression over things I can not control but affect me personally, the most frustrating. So I have had a couple slips, the last one was end of April so I am doing May 1 as my sobriety date. I had over three years at one time. So I thought I should do a gratitude list instead of being negative. So here goes:
I am grateful for:
1) Having a job working with some great people who genuinely care for me.
2) Having the income to buy a new car, first one in 17 years.
3) A great church to attend.
4) A great church choir and choirmaster from whom I have learned a lot.
5) Ability to sing and not scare too many people.
6) Good doctors and the ability (for now) to get good care and medication.
7) My fish tank, the residents are amusing and pretty healthy.
8) Grateful for some good friends, we enjoy and help each other.
9) My two great adult kids who turned out pretty well despite their dad being a drunk and neglectful.
10) SoberRecovery forums! I got sober the first time through this site.
That was better than whining and moaning. Thanks for reading.
