41 yrs- 6 months GODS grace continues

I have nt drank alcohol since age 23 (((. 41 yrs. 6 months sober ))).I hate loosing . only. booze n. golf. have I lost to. golf is just a. game. alcohol will make me insane on the. 2. nd drink. the. 1 st. drink lies to me. telling me ill stop after 2..BINGO,, PROGRESSION. continues. what makes me think I can. drink safely again as I never ever did. sure, after 30 yrs taking. Tylenol ,major illness. hit me..cancer twice. lung disease n. osteoporosis , n yes I took. opioids, zanax. there all ugly as I found. out but I was. suffering immensely . stopped all those. bs drugs, which help. for a week n bingo,,I got dependent. made me. moody. cranky and so on, but I was functional. n got on with life. TRADITION 3- only requirement. for memberships. desire to stop. drinking. BINGO. never took a drug to get high. everyone. prescribed. how ever I'm. done for now n hopefully. forever. INSOMIA driving me mad. its been suggested medical. edible marijuana. I. hate smoking that. crap. but if it helps sleep,,why not- at my age , I can't suffer anymore .A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP IS. CRUCIAL TO HAPPYNESS. I LIVE W. CHRONIC PAIN , n yet life is. terrific. depression. can't. win. only. alcohol has made me a mad man. very. grateful, I'm convinced never to take the first drink again. the miracle continues

41 years is a long time - congrats and welcome

I have a range of health issues and I work with my Drs.

They know all about my addictive history and together we work towards finding meds that work for pain issues, but won't get me high.

It's a little extra work but incredibly worth it
