Thank you God that my family is safe and doing well after the electrical power had been out the past few days before coming back on just a few hours ago!

Thank you God for the tears I had today from a mixture of sadness, gratitude, feeling stressed out, while visiting my mom in an assisted living home and that I don't even think about picking up a drink over that stuff anymore!

I visited my mom in her assisted living place for almost 3 yrs before she died. When she died I didn't cry for her cause I'd already done my crying after our visits. (if they were upsetting)

I am grateful I was sober throughout that time and able to help my mom by visiting and taking care of her cats. I could never have done that if I'd been drinking.

I'm experiencing this right now. I grieved since the beginning of 2014 and I'm glad I was there for my father. As I'm going through his belongings I'm finding good memories that remain.
