The First Day of the Rest of My Life
Yesterday marked my 7-year anniversary from chemicals.
I feel honored and humbled to write this post and thank those who guided me along my path. I went from a suicidal addict with no hope to a person who is truly free and happy today. Addiction is the best thing that ever happened to me, as I found redemption in getting sober and became the person I always yearned to be.
I have a higher power who I call "not me" and I follow some simple directions. In return I get an amazing life.
