Daughter Blessing
By God's will my daughter is my greatest gift to society. She is 17 and just got her driver's license Friday, so another thing for daddy to "let go". I am so grateful she has never seen me drink, and also so grateful for the lady she has become. I've raised her since diapers (her mom went back out) and everyone who meets her keeps telling me what a joy she is and that I did a wonderful job with her, but I give ALL credit to GOD and AA. Now as I struggle with the empty nester syndrome as she goes off to college, I have more time to give back to AA what I so gratefully received. I still feel I was the dimmest bulb and empty soul that ever walked into AA but with the Grace of God I have remained sober for 31 years. I'm living proof you don't have to be a rocket scientist to get this program.....so if you are new.....please keep coming back until the miracle happens!!! |
