I'm grateful that I have been given one day at a time to use for being sober and smoke-free. I'm grateful that I'm alive and feel okay. I'm grateful that the SoberRecovery site exists for helping people get better. And last, I'm grateful that all my "one days at a time" of being sober and smoke-free now add up to 18 years and one month of once again being sober.

Please try not to live your "one days at a time" tomorrow, because you can't get better "tomorrow".

So, 18 years later I'm still here, every single day of which was lived just one day at a time.
