Bedtime Gratitude ~ Part 57
Grateful that every day sobriety is bringing wonderful blessings into my life.
it's easy to focus on the things and people we have lost...it can hurt so much, but I choose now to focus on all of the amazing things life has to offer. ♥

Grateful to be picking myself up again
Grateful to believe that we can grow through adversity
Grateful for a dark hour showing me how sweet sobriety is
Grateful for all the amazing support on SR
Grateful to have a place to come to, always, 24/7, anywhere in the world (that has internet)
Grateful for my new, tweaked sobriety plan
Grateful for life that teaches me lessons every day
Grateful for my friends and my sponsor
Grateful for the light at the end of the tunnel
Grateful to know better and write a gratitude list instead of throwing a pity party

Grateful that Greta didn't bite the dog sitter when she came over to get instructions for my absence. (she barked her head off but didn't bite) Grateful to have a trustworthy person to take care of my critters.
Grateful for SR...when I feel like I might not be able to make it, I come here and I am reminded of how important it is to stay sober.
Grateful that I can handle things today that I couldn't handle before I stopped drinking.
Grateful for my kids and my dogs.
Grateful for the goodness in my life.

Grateful for a great friend doing a mock interview with me today
Grateful to be seeing a Broadway play tomorrow as a birthday present
Grateful for a warm sunny forecast for tomorrow
Grateful that niece told me I am her biggest role model
Grateful that that tomorrow will be a full week of Ramadan completed
Grateful that I can see now that life is not that serious but it is so worth the journey
Grateful to realize that happiness isn't a destination but a state of mind that can only be achieved if I am sober and not high
Grateful for feeling and not running away from my self
Grateful for this forum its the best thing ever for someone like me that hates going to AA meetings in NYC because its not as great as the ones in LA
Goodnight all. Keep me in prayers for my interview tomorrow.

And very grateful for my son. I just now saw him for the first time since Father's Day . He came in bringing gifts which he had obviously put some thought in. Never would have expected that from this 20 year old. Nice way to end the day.
