Had to get up while it was still dark, and stood outside to admire the moon and a few bright stars through the pines.

The pale tints of the early light, the songs of the birds all around, and other beauties along the way.

Congrats on 7 years with your partner, HeadLump

Grateful for many things I sometimes take for granted. It hasn't been an easy road, but it's been interesting. Grateful for continued change and growth. Grateful to feel pushed out of my comfort zone on some levels.

Grateful for all your congratulations! I met my partner late in life (one month short of 48!) and feel absolutely blessed! ♥♥♥

Sadly, Gramps, I'm not yet 7 years sober, but I am planning to be in just under 5 years time

Grateful for another beautiful Dorset day

Grateful for the seedlings poking tiny green heads to peep out into my greenhouse

I met my husband in 2011 when we were both 34 We married nine months later after we'd both turned 35. So, I can relate to a sort of late start marriage. Though for me, it wasn't "late" as much as it was perfectly timed He once told me how he wished we'd met at age 22 so that we'd have been together all that time - I said, Oh no. No. I don't I needed that bit of growing up time. I told him had we met earlier in life, I definitely wouldn't have married, lol.

And I feel blessed now as well. It's a nice thing to have a good partner in life. I truly could take it either way though, and I do tend to prepare myself in my mind for "what if" I lose him sooner than expected. I guess I do this because of losing a mom and grandmom early in my life.
