Grateful that I'm waking up today as opposed to "coming to." Grateful that I reached out to a friend in AA for help after some time away and grateful for those long lost feelings of optimism that they inspire.

Grateful for today.
Grateful for getting some sleep last night.
Grateful for my excellent driving skills -- the roads were glare ice and I need to get my Son to work at 6:00 a.m.
Grateful to be able to work at home.
Grateful for board games to play with my 10 year old daughter.

OK ~
The Morning Pic I had in Mind initially can wait. When I saw the Cloud Formations this Morning, I shut off some Lights inside and prepped for this Pic. Jet Contrails and everything but the Kitchen Sink out over the Antler Collection. Just found another 'new' Antler 'Shed' a few days ago while checking Barbed Wire Fences.
Grateful for good Weather today so that I can tighten up a slightly-sagging Automated Ranch Gate before Rain/Snow moves in tomorrow.
Grateful for getting done yesterday all the niggling lil Chores that had stacked up. Whole House Vacuum Cleaners don't suck! No, they do. Very well, actually.
Grateful that the Earth Muffins who run the local Mountain Public Radio Station are playing fun flashback Music this Morning for us aging Hippies.

Mesaman aging Hippies hahaha just think when they get us into the homes for the decreped ahahahah what a mess those young kids will have to deal with .. Hey man groove this hahhah or slow down you move to fast you gotta make the .... what was that last bit.. I did what ...no way man the cops would show up and tag us all.. hahahahaha have another tok on that H2o machine ah air in the lungs.. what were we doing .. sunny Day everythings A OK.. the neighbors on the street.. hahahahah.. lunch cherry pepsi yes I had to look at the bottle to spell it. ekekekeke week end please we need the weekend....

As difficult as this is for me right now I know I need to remember why I am grateful:
I am grateful that I have steady employment even though I work long hours. Long hours do equal more pay so that is a positive as well.
My extremely needy and precious furry companion. Had my little buddy for a bit over 16 years now and he has been through it all with me.
My husband.
Christmas is coming soon and I will be paid to for that reason alone. I have had many jobs where I was required to work on Christmas and was not even paid holiday wages. I am thankful I am paid to take the day off.
My warm and soft cozy bed; I have soft sheets and nice bedding.. not many even have a bed.
And, most importantly, random acts of kindness. I like performing them and I like witnessing them. Sometimes just having a stranger show me kindness can get me through my day; I like returning the favor.

Gilmer, thank you for the hug.
I'm going to add some gratitude here for the afternoon.
I'm grateful my higher power DID lift the heavy off of me today.
I am grateful I was able to do my volunteer work.
I am grateful my daughter got sent home sick. I know that sounded terrible. But I can take care if her now and get out of my head.
