Day 2 of my sobriety journey
I have attempted to quit drinking too many times to count. I have rejoined the group, after hitting rock bottom.
I allowed myself to let loose 2 nights ago in the presence of close family, which resulted in me vomiting all over myself, in the bath, etc. I missed going to the zoo with the kids, because I was too hung over to get out of bed.
Fortunately, my family could not be more supportive. They call my alcoholism the '***** in my armour'. I have finally accepted that I cannot drink. Period. I am a little daunted by this recognition, but thanks to this site, and my friends and family, I have faith that I can be sober permanently.
