Grateful for my first butterscotch dipped cone of the season.

And grateful for "coincidentally" reading two pieces this morning—one from the Big Book and one from A Course in Miracles—about not trusting too much my physical sight, my eyesight, but seeing with spiritual sight, looking within and beyond what my eyes can perceive. Thanks for the reminder!

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful to climb into bed with my wife at bedtime. The reason I say this is because the last 22 years of our marriage we've been sleeping in different beds in different rooms.

We were okay. I just had it in my head all those years that I needed my own room and own bed to sleep in. And now we seem fine sleeping in the same bed! You mean to tell me all those years it could've just been in my head?

Grateful that it's not always too late to try things that might have seemed not to work in the past.

Grateful this applies to sobriety as well. At one time I was a chronic relapse before I finally got the program.

Grateful for sober walks with my son, grateful for waking up clear headed without a headache 5 days in a row, and grateful for this forum to know that I am not alone.

Grateful to be "letting things go"

Grateful that it has occured to me that though I can post my gratitude anywhere at any time of the day, it actually makes sense to post my morning gratitude in the morning gratitude thread instead of the bedtime gratitude thread.

Grateful just to say goodnight to all of you ~ no tears, no issues, just goodnight, and I love you, and sleep well, and have a good day.

But, but, but, YOUR morning is our bedtime here in the States! Please feel free to keep posting here. This is the only thread I follow and I really appreciate your posts.

Grateful for my mom's ever-so-reasonable and helpful Parkinson's specialist. And glad I didn't punch my brother when he started arguing with her (not that I ever actually do anything like that).

And grateful I can just roll my eyes when nobody can see and not have to say what I'm thinking. Eye rolling is somehow very gratifying even if it's just to myself. I wonder about the neuropsychology of this..... teehee.

Love and hugs,
Eddie
