Grateful we've finished painting the outside of the house today. It's a great sense accomplishment.

Grateful for much better weather than the forcast suggested.

Grateful to be able to look out of the window and see the summer lushness of the English countryside.

Grateful to check out a new movie theater this morning and went and saw the movie "Tammy."

Grateful while sitting in the house on a beautiful sunny day with pent up frustration, I said to myself: "Uncle holmes, you can sit in the house and have self pity, or you can go out and try and have some fun."

So I got out and went to Dairy Queen after lunch and enjoyed a small chocolate extreme blizzard with chocolate ice cream. Yum yum. Then I went to a beach and did some swimming and fishing. It did me good to be out in nature.

Grateful for today, my son and daughter, my husband and mother.
Grateful for a good run.
Grateful for the beautiful weather and a list of chores.
Grateful to have hung out tonight and watched a movie with the family.
All normal stuff made better by being sober.

Grateful I held my tongue today when various family members pushed my buttons.

Grateful my Dad listened when I spoke to him about some concerning signs and symptoms. I reminded him that last I checked he and I had not been to medical school and shouldn't be self diagnosing them.

Grateful to finally have my life to myself tonight after many visitors in a row.

Grateful for some advice given to me this morning at church, about places to stay and visit for my trip to London.

Grateful to be sitting here checking in to SR, I'm now 11 weeks alcohol free, yeah!

Grateful my sibs help a lot with Dad and with his health issues; so I don't feel like I'm in it alone like I did with my Mom.

Grateful he knows we love him and are ready to help when needed.

Grateful for a pretty day and a chance to straighten up the patio.

Grateful for the gift of life and love and family.

Glad you have folks to talk to about it. And remember to BREATHE!! ; )

Almost unimaginably grateful that I was asked today to speak at the annual Anorexics & Bulimics Anonymous retreat in September. Not to sound grandiose, but I was actually kind of expecting it. Doesn't mean I didn't cry when I said, "Yes!"

And grateful for one of my sponsee's work on her Step 3. She is so willing to hear feedback that some wouldn't take so well (or that I wouldn't have taken so well myself). Glad I'm working with her.

LOve and hugs,
Eddie

Greatful for the "Thank You" button.
May sound silly to you but I think of it as
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for you support of others difficulty
I read you post, but have nothing to add at this time
I care about what is being said here
That was useful
That's tough
I here for you
Good for You
And on and on I could go about that little button
Plus when I use the Thank you button and I go back it is easy for me to be sure I have read what I think I read. Believe me with short term memory problems I need all the help I can get
