Grateful that every time my daughter has called me from the treatment center in the last 2 wks, she's told me she knows she needs this program. So much different than last time, when almost every phone call for 6wks was her(or the staff) telling me she wanted to leave.

Grateful for the fantastic time I had yesterday at the Blues street dance. Great bands playing, people of all ages enjoying themselves, dancing in the streets. Couldn't ask for a better way to spend a Sunday.

Grateful for the good progress of my friend N after her accident.
Grateful that I got on with my list this morning and got most of it done.
Grateful that the only thing in my way is me.

Grateful to know that when I change, things get different, and change is the only thing that is permanent when I stay grateful and trudge the road of happy destiny.

Grateful I'm up before the alarm, it's much better to wake up naturally.

Grateful I'm not getting too anxious about the presentation I have to give this morning.

Grateful I can look at today's challenge as a learning experience rather than a threat to my fragile ego, or a potential attack on my self-worth. Sobriety makes me see things so differently, thank goodness!

Grateful for fresh blueberries in my oatmeal.

Grateful for a day to try.

Grateful, very grateful, that I never forget how bad it was. Grateful when I think about ever having a drink, I know I would immediately resume daily drinking. Grateful I cannot pretend otherwise.

I'm grateful that my brother turned 31 yesterday. He's an opiate addict who has OD'd WAY too many times and seems to be on the right path now. It's early days still, but I am grateful he is still here. <3

Grateful for the morning gratitude list! Reading everyone's posts over the last 24 hrs is a wonderful way to start the day.

Grateful for the challenges of today. Not sure how I am going to get things done, but I am going to try!

Grateful for my daughter and son. I seriously lucked out in the mother department (twice).

Grateful to be sober. Grateful for the community of SR.

Grateful for a hug from grtgrandpa, seeing old friends (Gilmer) here for the first time, and all the great reasons to be grateful this morning.

I don't usually post songs here, but Ian Dury, who had polio, wrote some of the most grateful lyrics I know: Reasons To Be Cheerful Part 3

Grateful that I'm up early enough to get some prayer time in before a busy day starts.

Grateful for the ability to stretch my body, why does a good stretch feel so good? Even dogs and cats seem to relish it - definitely one of nature's many blessings.

Grateful that the tomatoes plants in the greenhouse are flowering and we will soon have some tomatoes to pick.

I feel the love today

I miss all of you when you are missing in action.

And Venuscat believe me when I say that your posts speak volumes to me, and I can feel your presence.

I also feel your pain when you are struggling. I suspect that power is coming from my girls who were like us while having their human experiences which are over, but they are still in my heart.

I am always so very grateful for your love and wisdom grtgrandpa.
We are so blessed to have you here.
Your girls are watching, and they are so proud of the power of example you have come to be for so many recovering addicts/alcoholics.

(((Massive Hugs))) ♥
