(I heard I'm supposed to thank my Higher Power at bedtime for keeping me clean all day, so I'm adapting my Morning Gratitude Prayer for PM use.)

Thank you, Higher Power, for all your blessings, mercies, and kindnesses; for nourishment and sustenance—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Thank you for all the love and support of family, friends, and professionals.

Thank you for another chance—another opportunity—to live seeking to learn, know, and do your will.

Thank you for getting me through another day—another 24 hours—clean, sober, and unharmed. AMEN!

Tonight, I am grateful for my Vocational Rehabilitation counselor and the opportunity to volunteer at the public library to help with their computer classes! It is great to be able to be of service.

While I was at the convention my big black tomcat that is fixed, named Kazy, came up missing for 48 hours; and so I prayed my ass off the 48 hours...I can verify that prayers do get answered...You what they say....God could and would when he/she was sought...well, I sought the God of my understanding & Kazy came home last night at 10:30 p.m. central time!! My bedtime prayer was for the pain in my teeth to go away; and when it did go away because of the pain meds, my bedtime prayer turned to a prayer for sleep since the pain meds were keeping me awake...I am grateful all prayers, Eddie Z. (my lovely new friend), and my family!!

Everynight I say my bedtime prayer with my beautiful daughter Quincey. We thank God for whatever we feel like. I always start mine with "Thank You, God, for my wonderful daughter Quincey..." or something like that. It is a great way for both of us to stay in touch with our spirituality. (She is eight, and if I try to forget, she always reminds me!)
