My prayers are that Sam may find some peace and Russell will come home safe. Also, I pray for Eddie, Ted, Patty, and Jen. Keep all my friends at SR and in AA safe tonight!

I am grateful that my ex-husband called, even if he was using, and that he was still alive as of night-before-last. I am grateful that I am clean and content (relatively) so that he may be inspired to finally get his act together. I am grateful for 21 months free from the BS he still lives in. I am grateful that I'm not still entangled in his sh*t!

I am grateful for my sobriety, and getting a GREAT sponsor. I'm grateful that I was able to resolve some issues with an ex who is now in the program. My prayers are for all my friends here at SR, for Eddie, that her ex-husband may find this freedom, for Sam to find a job, for Ted to grow in the rehab he is entering, and for all the sick and suffering inside and outside the walls of recovery!

I pray that God be with me when I go see my counselor in the morning. We haven't been seeing eye to eye lately. I pray that I may be open minded and let God work through him and me.

Hey, Richie! Sorry you're having those bad cravings, but you know they'll pass, right? And I'm glad to be here for you. I'm taking a class in Substance Abuse and my textbook is a big ol' trigger. Mostly it makes me want to do try the stuff I didn't do before. Man, this disease is tricky, isn't it?

Today I am grateful for having some quiet time alone to catch up on phone calls and paperwork; for October's Bright Blue Weather; and for not wanting to smoke the pot I found growing in the park yesterday! :scared1: I'm not kidding. It was mixed in with some other plant in a public garden.

Love and hugs to all, Eddie :tongue2:

Wow, good job Eddie. It must be tough having a textbook like that! And to find pot in a public park, not good for an addict. I'm proud of you.

Richie, this too shall pass. I'm saying a prayer for you, and for all my friends, to not find it neccessary to pick up that first one. One is too many, 1000 never enough!!

Hey Samantha, where are you? I pray that everything is ok with Sam and that she checks in soon.

Sherry

Hey Eddie and Sherry, thanks for the support. The craving comes and goes(I'm sure it always will) but I'm not giving in!I know for me that one hit will lead to thousands.Anyway it's much better today! And tonight I'm thankful that I don't cough all the time like I used to because I'm not putting any poisons in my lungs anymore! The air smells so much sweeter now!And I'm thankful I found this thread.Sweat dreams and God bless you!

Yeah, Sherry, where is Samantha? I've been wondering and worrying. Pot's not that hard for me to resist actually. I was never all that into it. Now if they'd been growing poppies, that'd be a different story!

You're welcome again, Richie! I know what you mean about things smelling sweeter. Even though I didn't smoke my dope, I quit smoking cigarettes (tobacco) in May and I really DON'T miss it. And thank YOU for the blessings!

Love and hugs,
