I am grateful that today I am able to cry and feel feelings without feeling like I have to escape them. Trish joined SR very shortly before me and had been here the whole time I have been here. Again, I'm glad I actually had the opportunity to hang out with her some.

I am also grateful for my home group. We had standing-room only last night and even though I didn't share about my loss, I felt the love and support in the room. That's God at work!!

I was going to go to the 10:30AM meeting this morning, but I forgot about the time change and overslept. I'm hesitant to share in a meeting about Trish's death, though, because I met her here, even though I also met her face-to-face. Does this make sense or am I being silly?

Hi Everybody,
Eddie, I don't think your being silly. On the other hand I think it is great to hear people talk about loss in meetings. They show us that we can get through anything clean/sober.
I am grateful to have woken up this morning. Today is my belly button birthday, I am in my new house and I start my new job in 3 hours. Life is good.

A belated Happy Birthday, L!!! How were your first two days of work?

I am grateful for my new contact lenses. I haven't worn contacts in years and these new ones are much better, more comfortable, than I ever remember them being. Plus I can see now! LOL.

I am grateful to see Don W. posting again. I was afraid we had lost him as well as Trish. He is a wonderful guy and I'm just thrilled to have him back.

I am grateful for FTD online, though the occasion to use it is sad. I sent flowers to the mother of a friend who recently died of cancer. What makes it really sad is that she already lost one of her daughters, my best friend Kate, though that was twenty-four years ago.

I am also grateful that Don's wife, Debby, did NOT succeed in her suicide attempt. Too much death lately. Debby is a wonderful woman, too, and I hope to see her and Don at the SR retreat later this year.

I am grateful for my sponsor. Another "situation" has arisen regarding my license and the Board, etc. and talking to her helped me vent and feel better about it.

I am also grateful for my therapist and my attorney (again). I'm so glad to have some professionals to guide me in doing the next right thing.

I am grateful that all four of my amaryllis bulbs made it through the winter and are starting to grow again. Now let's just hope they all bloom, too.

I am also grateful that my husband had a nice supper ready when I got home this evening. It's been kind of a tough week and I was tired.

I am grateful that my husband told me to take it easy this afternoon. I needed to, but I probably would have run around being busy if he hadn't suggested I relax.


I am also grateful for the four meetings I went to in the past 24 hours, although I missed most of two of them because of pages. I am glad that NA is strong in my area and that I have several meetings to choose from every day.
