I am grateful I was able to say "NO" to an offer that would have lead to an intimate relationaship which was very bad for me and probably for her too.

This is an awesome step for me, realising my worth, looking after myself.

I am grateful to finally be home after a VERY busy Friday night on call.

And grateful for my husband being sick because he won't be going to work out of town tomorrow. Just don't tell him I said that, though. LOL. Poor thing! He's a mess.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Hey everyone!

I'm grateful I was able to read through this thread today. It had some great things on here. I decided to switch my shift at work today with another girl so I was able to get on a computer this morning. I worked a double yesterday and I was SO sore. My legs/feet better get used to this torture cos I have a few things on my "to buy" list that I really need to get!

I'm grateful I actually have a job and that I'm able to support myself. I'm grateful for my Probe--it's been a good little car. The Probe Knows No Bounds! I so want to get a bumper sticker made with that saying on it!

I'm grateful for my new sponsor and for all my friends in AA. God has been so kind to me!

Take care!
Danielle

Hey, everyone!!

I am grateful for the laptop from work so I can get into the pharmacy computer system from home. It makes the on-call stuff much easier.

And grateful that my husband brought me supper at work this evening even though I didn't actually have time to eat it until later. That was a very thoughtful thing for him to do considering how crummy he's been feeling.

Enjoy your weekend, friends! I know I'm not. LOL.
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Yeah, he's a good guy. Actually, he was really mad at me last night and he STILL brought me supper. He gets frustrated when I have to work so much. Here I was grateful he didn't have to go out of town yesterday, but I hardly saw him.

I am grateful I got to go tan today. I hadn't been in a whole week! In fact, I almost forgot to go. I feel better now, though, rejuvenated even.

Also grateful for the South Beach Diet broiled flank steak recipe. I am marinating the steak right now. I have made it several times in the past and it is .

Love and hugs,
Eddie

I am grateful to be able to decide when I want to go to bed. Does this sound odd?

After nearly a quarter of a century of waking up in a chair in front of the TV or with a book fallen to the floor beside me and the remnants of the last drink spilled down my shirt, it is sheer bliss to do the following:
1. Feel sleepy (because it is late)
2. Get up from where I am
3. Walk to the bedroom.
4. Get into bed.
5. Fall asleep (eventually).

This simple process, that so many normal sober people take for granted, is such a wondrous novelty to me, such a gift, that I actually look forward to it through the evening.
Crazy, yes?

I am grateful that my ex loves the kids and participates in their lives on a regular basis. Even though I hated living a half a block away from him when we first split up now I am grateful because it makes it good for the kids.

I'm glad you're feeling better, too, Kevin!

Hey, L!!

I am grateful that I went to see my therapist today for the first time since October! We had a nice chat about all the horrible sh*t tha is going on right now.

And I am grateful that I can crash early tonight and not have to worry about getting woken up by the pager.

Love and hugs,

I am grateful that even though my computer crashed (hard) lol I have a friend who is a computer genius. He is saving my documents, pictures and music and re-formatting the hard drive for me. Yea!!! I was despondent when I thought I might lose the pictures. If I am not around regularly that's why. Glad you are feeling better Kevin. Eddie how did today go???????? Lots of love and prayers coming your way.
