((((Eddie)))) Well, my dear. Remember the cat that adopted me at the begining of the summer? She is now a very loved member of our fuzzy family - adored by me and both of the boys.

Here is Sophie-Grace in all of her glory. Shameless! Look at that fat, poochie tummy!
<a href="http://img234.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sophiegrace018xv.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/8287/sophiegrace018xv.th.jpg" border="0" /></a>
And here's another one - a little more flattering.

I am glad you are doing well on your job, although it sounds pretty stressful at times. You have also reminded me how much I love tanning. Laying in the warm bed and the smell of yummy tanning oil... Mmmm. Gotta get back to that, methinks.

Keep on keeping on, Eddie. We do this deal just one day at a time.

Thank you, phinny!! And thanks for sharing those pictures! I love her orange nose. I'm happy for you that she found a home with you.

Now I have to get myself cleaned up . There is a campfire NA meeting tonight at someone's home. Should be fun.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

A campfire meeting sounds like a blast - a perfect way to spend a Sat. night. Hope you had fun.

I went to my woman's meeting and then shopping with my brother. We are looking for MP3 players. No luck yet, but we did price out quite a few. So, now relaxing with the fuzzy family. Kinda boring, I know, but a good way to spend a Sat. night, too.

Have a good rest of the weekend. Take care.

Hey, phinny and L!!

The campfire meeting was very nice if a bit long. They had lots of really good food and drinks and the meeting was sort of a book study where people read quotes out of the Basic Text and then shared on what they read. It was neat to do something different.

I am grateful that I've had a good productive weekend and most of all, that I got my plants in from outside and actually dug up some of the dahlias. I can't believe how many tubers one particular variety produced. I'm definitely going to have to share them with the lady who gave me so many last spring.

I'm also grateful that I managed to make it to four NA meetings in about 48 hours. I just hope I can continue to make meetings during the work week. I may go to an AA meeting later tonight. I always enjoy meetings once I get my butt in there, but sometimes I have trouble getting there, you know?

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Eddie, I bet that NA campfire meeting was awesome!! That would be so cool.
I rented "Office Space" last night and got a good laugh out of it!!! LOL, it was very interesting. Thanks for those kind words you posted on my 30 day thread. That was so sweet!

Phinny, thanks for sharing those adorable pictures!! Awww!!!

Hi L, good to see you over here on the thread!

I am grateful for the special people in my life! My heart is overjoyed at the compassion and great support that I have received and I'm glad that I don't feel so alone anymore. I have people who care about me and I am so full of gratitude.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful night!!!

Love and hugs,
Cheryl

You're welcome, Cheryl!! Office Space is probably my all-time favorite comedy. I quote it often. It's really fun to watch with the English subtitles on, too, 'cause you can get all the stuff Milton mumbles.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

, Richie!! I swear there is this guy at work who reminds me so much of Bill Lumbergh (sp?)(Gary Cole) 'cause he's constantly coming up and saying, "Hey, so-and-so, wha-at's happening?" Aaargh! He drives me nuts.

Anyway, I am grateful for a basically good day. I worked out before work. We had a relatively sane Monday (although one tech did seem to have a bad "case of the Mondays"—lol). And I tanned on the way home with some really hot new tingle lotion.

I am also grateful for my husband making supper. Spaghetti and cheese bread. In a bit we're having blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Getting a little racey there, Eddie! -lol

Sounds you had a good day sober, my friend. I did, too. I started out by NOT making my 7 a.m. workout date at the club with my brother. (There is always tomorrow, but now he says 6 a.m. Yikes!) But then I prayed and meditated and basically just kept doing the next right thing. This afternoon a women in early recovery called and she was suicidal. Not drinking, but in a very dark place emotionally. I rallied the women and went on my first 12 step call. It was good. By the end of the evening, her perspective had shifted and she was laughing. And now I am exhausted.

Sweet dreams,

phinny

Hi gang. The computer is finally back, and for that I am definately grateful. Now I can visit my favorite people again!

Hey phinny, how'd you get a picture of my cat? I took in a stray this summer also, and he looks just like yours. Fat and all....lol. His name is Samson. I'm pretty sure he belonged to someone but no one looked for him. He's such a lover, and eater!!!

Talk to everyone later, I got some catching up to do around here.

Sherry

Thanks for sharing that, phinny!! There's nothing like being of service to others, is there?

I am grateful that Sherry is back with us to stay!!

And grateful that I went to an OA meeting tonight even though I got paged and missed most of it. I saw my theoretical OA sponsor and heard part of the Step study on the Third Step.

Now I think it's about time for bed!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Sherry - Sophie-Grace adopted me and the boys (my two Shih-Tsus) this summer. I've never been owned by a cat and I gotta admit, she's stolen our hearts and added a new level of love to my fuzzy family.

Get this - I used to just be "stupider than a cat" and now I am "stupider than a cat" AND "stupider than a dog!" No respect...

Eddie - sounds like you are trying to get your meetings in, but work is interfering. How do you like this job? Is it a good fit? How are you taking care of yourself with all of the hours and being on call and such? I know we need to work to support ourselves, but we gotta put recovery first no matter what. That means having serenity between the ears, too.

Hope you all are having a good evening. Take care.

Hugs,

phinny

Thank you again, phinny!! I AM struggling to find a balance between work and meetings, but I think I'm getting better at it as I am getting used to being back at work. I actually have plenty of time for meetings; I'm just lazy when it comes to going back out once I get home in the evenings.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Good morning Eddie and Phinny. I know this is the bedtime thread, but I just can't help coming here in the morning. I love to hear how everyone is doing. You will find that balance, Eddie. And Phinny, I don't think you are stupid at all! lol The animals might, but that's their nature!

Anyways, I am off to work. Grateful to have a job, well, actually, I have 2 of them. The winter is hard up here for work. Talk to everyone later

LOL, Richie. Check our Sophie-Grace's poochie tummy at the top of this page!

Can't sleep tonight so I cleaned the house. I bleached the sink and cleaned the inside of the microwave in addition to regular cleaning. Bletch. Some of the things that were living in my kitchen were NOT PRETTY!

Stay warm, Sherry. Sleep well, all.

I am grateful that I got that exam behind me and I feel like I did well.
It is cold here and tonight it is supposed to be 29 F. That is cold for SC.

Phinny, those were some cool pictures and very adorable!

Eddie, you deserve a little bit of down-time now with all of this hard work that you have been putting in.

Sherry, it is so good to have you back on here. You know you were missed!

Hi Richie!

Remember that scene in "Office Space" where the beat up the copy machine? That was hilarious!!
What was your favorite scene? I did get some good laughs out of that. Laughing is always wonderful!!!

Love and hugs,
Cheryl
