Tonight I am grateful to have gone out with some friends after the meeting. We went to Denny's and had a great time. I will be speaking tomorrow at my home group, and for that I am also grateful. I have been given the opportunity to share my ESH with the newcomers. I'll let ya'll know how it goes! Have a good night!

Sherry, can't wait to hear how it goes. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be in college. I realize how fortunate I am and even though it is extremely difficult with 5 classes. I am grateful for these moments because each day I'm closer to achieving my dreams. I am grateful for life and choices. Today I have a choice to stay sober.

Hope

What a blessing it is to be able to share this. I was so nervous today, but I just gave it to God. My sponsor was right up front and my best friend in the program was in the back. My best friend came up to me afterwards with tears in her eyes. She said she needed to hear what I had to say. I had a few new people tell me I gave them hope. And the longtimers told me that I did a good job. I have spoke before, but this time felt different. I could feel his (God's ) presence there with me. I am very grateful that I have been given this opportunity.

Love and Hugs........Sherry

(((((Sherry)))))) Wow, I know that must have been a powerful speech. I know it touched you as much as it touched everyone else. That was an amazing experience. Thanks for sharing that.

Love,

Today I am grateful for the fellowship and having a strong circle of support. It is wonderful that there is someone there for me at all times, be it f2f or here at SR. I am grateful that God has put so many wonderful people in my life. May God bless you too, Richie. And everyone else on these boards.

Tonight I am grateful that I spent some time with my sponsor. She has such a good message to pass on. I get strength from watching her deal with her problems without picking up a substance. I am also grateful that it didn't snow anymore today. We've had enough for a while!!!! Hope everyone has a good night's sleep!

I am thankful

I am thankful to God for alway providing for us. When doing my taxes I realized I lived on about $6,000 this past year, and amazingly we never did without anything we needed. I am not sure how we were able to do this, but the numbers do not lie. It seems that every time I think we are sunk financially, or we need money for something...a miracle happens and I get money from somewhere unexpectedly. I know God watches over us! I also just got my third child support check ever! Wonders never cease!!

Back on the elf kick...I just want to add that I think we all need to use the word Ginormous in our every day vocabularies as much as possible because it's the best word I know at the moment!! hehehehe

beccaboo,
But what does it mean? I mean, really, how can I use it if I don't know how to use it? teehee. Anyway, welcome to the thread! Thanks for sharing that story.

Sorry I haven't been on in a couple of days. Richie, keep plugging away at that Clash. And Sherry, thanks for reminding me to call my sponsor!

I'll try to get to my gratitude list tonight.
Love and hugs,
Eddie

WAKE UP

Sorry, Richie, I couldn't resist! Tonight I am grateful, once again, for the support I have in this program. I have a close friend who relapsed and it is very upsetting to me. I was offered a world of support in the rooms, though. The theraputic value of one addict helping another. Thank you God for putting them in my life. I hope everyone is well, and you can go back to sleep now, Richie.

I'm awake now,Sherry.Though not for long.
This is a wonderful place to come to after a grueling day at work. Most times it is the only reason I turn on my computer.I hope you and Eddie and the rest will have a good night and a great day tomorrow.
I'm going back to sleep now.

Tonight I'm grateful that I survived the day clean and sober and that I had support in the hard times. I'm also grateful for the tears I cried as I'm sure they cleansed my soul.

Hope
