Morning Gratitude ~ Part 42
Grateful that I no longer live in my former home where in that neighborhood I was surrounded by parents who screamed and threatened their kids, constant police coming, nosy neighbors, drug deals, dogs that bit other dogs in the neighborhood, heavy air pollution, noise pollution, litter, and on and on. Grateful I now live in a very quiet peaceful place with a beautiful view and none of the above.
Grateful to know I would not have been able to make this change happen without sobriety.
Grateful sobriety has taught me persistence, determination, commitment, self respect, fiscal responsibility and given me the ability to ask for help.... all of which helped me make this change.

Grateful for another day waking up without a hangover...I never want to take this for granted.
Grateful for the energy to do some laundry, organize my room a little, and make my bed.
Grateful for free samples of organic shampoo and conditioner from the health food store.
Grateful for morning yoga practice- no hangovers equals the dedication to get on mat right away.
Grateful for morning coffee, and sometime to watch news and weather.
Grateful for the posts here- have a wonderful day everybody.

Nogard - again so sorry for the loss. Especially on the heels of your friend's passing. That is tough and glad you are staying strong.
Grtgrandpa, I read your recovery story and also wanted to thank you.
Aly - feel better.
Grateful that a health scare late last night/early this morning with my husband seems to be resolving.
Grateful for this community and our sobriety.

I am still finding new threads of information on SR, and I have been a member since last September.
My old brain is full of too much useless information that pops up when I don't need it, but like the junk in my garage I am afraid to throw it away. Aging is not for sissies.
Grateful for having a pretty normal life.
Sure, I pray a lot and I spend some time in church basements and class C office space converted into AA clubhouses, but that has permitted me to be a functioning part of society.
I have many specifics for which I am grateful, but after getting sober, we are more prepared to deal with life's ups and downs than many, many non-alcoholics and non-addicts.
I wouldn't trade my life with anyone's.

Thanks to all for well wishes. Feeling better.
Grateful for an awesome class (and group of people) on mindfulness that I'm taking on Wed morning. So grateful I have that right now.
Grateful I lost another pound.
