Morning Gratitude ~ Part 41
Grateful my coworker friend in recovery finally got her first mammogram. Breast cancer runs in her family and she is in her 40s and has never got one done.
Even though they are now needing more imaging to get a better look, if something is found grateful it will be early rather than late.
Grateful I am sober and will be there for her as much as she needs.

I am also grateful my PAWS symptoms, after a year+, seem to be subsiding. The gratitude for that is profound as the suffering with that syndrome can be nearly unbearable at times, esp when benzos are also involved. So, I'm grateful for some long awaited relief and another reason to stay sober.
Grateful to an online friend who gave me a link to a free library site that has over 1 million ebooks. https://openlibrary.org/
Grateful to come here each morning and find all of you.
Grateful for my good health and my brain that is starting to work full time. (Yep grtgrandpa, Year 2 is mental!)

Thanks Marcher for the library tip. I am grateful for all of the people I have met in recovery as we give and receive support to one another. A hug, sometimes a kiss, tears, smiles, laughter, memories racing across my busy brain. The third year is spiritual, and I was asked by a young man about the 4th year??? Acceptance is the answer to all of our problems today. (p447 or 417) and the most important words in the big book are the first 3 on page 112.
my brain is not my friend
Absolutely. I read every page the first week I was sober, and I still read the big book weekly because I keep coming up with more help. I am still sick.
