Extremely grateful today, one year sober!
My recovery journey has been very rewarding thus far,
difficult at times, but the pain is always overshadowed by the subsequent growth.
I would not have been able to come this far,
If not for a loving God who has shown his unconditional love for me even when I was unlovable.
I would not have kept fighting,
If not for the supportive community around me.
I am grateful to the AA fellowship, for all the strength, hope and experience,
I am grateful to my church community for the continual spurring on,
I am grateful to my family for all the support,
Though not frequent here, this forum was very helpful in the beginning and on days when I doubt sobriety as a better lifestyle, I find many reasons to not pick up a drink in these threads, for that I am thankful.
Finally, I immensely thank God who has made all this possible and to whom all glory goes back to.
