Is this your first car, DG? Congratulations on being mobile now. Ride around with the windows open on a warm day. Turn the radio up loud! Woohoo!

Elsie- It's not my first car, but it is MUCH newer and nicer than any other car I've ever had.

I'm thankful I got the garage cleaned out enough I can fit the new car in it- but just barely. I still have more stuff I'd like to move around, get rid of, etc. so that I have more space around the car.

I'm thankful that my life is just in a really good spot. I have a good job. I have a really great love interest. I have a great new car. I'm clean and sober.

Oh yeah, and so as to not upset anybody on the thread- I'm thankful for my cats and my drums. Rusty- I'm getting in some new headphones today as my boyfriend took the ones I had been using when he moved out since they were his. I'm also getting a couple of drum-tuning devices as tuning my drums is something that I am incredibly bad at and also really hate doing. (They always sound worse when I'm done and I wish I'd never touched 'em.)

get the "tune bot" DG

or if you can wait a bit, PM with your address, i'll give you my drum dial

i'm anal with tuning my drums, and always get compliments on their sound

it took me years to do it right with a drum key

now it's a snap

put all new heads top an bottom on my dress up kit

45 min. on and all tuned

played them out last sat night, and what a joy!

Awww shucks Rusty, I bought a drum dial and it got here like two days ago. I read some reviews about the tune bot and it somebody commented that it works great as long as you are good at tapping consistently. I have an app on my phone that is supposed to work similarly, but I have problems with it and I've suspected it's because I'm not good at that tapping business, so I went with the drum dial.

My drums sound SO much better now and I'm no longer afraid of playing around with the tuning on them. At least now I can write down the current settings and return to those if I do something I don't like.

****
I am thankful for my drums sounding better.
And I'm thankful for my kitties even though they leave me dead things lying around the house.
I'm thankful for feeling content in my life.
I'm thankful for being engaged in hobbies, my work, doing stuff around the house, etc. I feel passionate about the stuff I'm doing.
I'm thankful for being clean and sober.

Today I am thankful to have a cleaner garage. Getting the new car has really inspired me to get the garage cleaned up so it is convenient to park it in there.

I think I said this Elseware, but congrats again on 9 months! (OK, kinda a lame play on your username, but I couldn't resist.)

Today I am thankful for a safe day of travels, a good dinner, a nice place to stay, snuggles, being clean and sober and one and a half years cigarette free.
