Oh, I know how those visits can be at times. I had to keep in mind my primary purpose is to stay Sober and help others to achieve Sobriety.

My Mom was Bi-Polar, probably Alcoholic, and came from a bad childhood. I am the firstborn and she meted out her rage on me.

I was able to care for her when she was in need for several years, off and on. In looking back I am glad I treated her with kindness and realized she was still a human being. I feel good that I made the attempts of friendship although she often times figured that "I had something up my sleeve". It will be okay!!! Ipanema
