Bedtime Gratitude - Part 43 -All Are Welcome!
Eddie, my cat's real name is Spot. But we call him poophead most of the time. As far as pictures of my cat, I don't know how to post pictures online. If I learn how then I would love to post pictures of poophead. Sorry.
Grateful for naps.

Yes, grateful for the new grat thread. Thank you Opi
Grateful for the reassurance of the staff at Dad's nursing home. The transition yesterday did not go well. I feel so emotionally drained.

Grateful for Opi!!
Grateful today I went and got driving glasses with special lenses for nightime glare.
Grateful I drove in the dark around town tonight a wee bit and I can see much better than before.
Grateful for a coworker checking on me.
Geateful to be patient with limited stamina.
Grateful to rest at home and watch some old classic movies.
Grateful for all of you!!

Astro thinking good thoughts for you and Dad. Quite often the move in day does not foretell a poor adjustment, so I hope that's the case here. You're a great son and any Father would be proud of you and grateful for all the help you've given so freely.
You're welcome, RZ!
UH, Spot, eh? I like that.
Grateful I went and had lunch at Mom's assisted living with a couple of folks she sits with. I not only survived, but actually enjoyed it, to my surprise. Glad I have the open-mindedness and willingness to get out of my comfort zone more.
And grateful for Stinkbug (aka Spencer) and his chronic hopeless case of SCS syndrome (Sweet, Cute, and Soft—rabbity-soft, to quote someone here). My friend J. was over today when we determined this diagnosis. =^o^=
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful
For connecting with and old friend and us both sharing compassion that we are in similar circumstances.
For opening up to someone I see regularly and feeling their genuine understanding.
For the slow transformation of loneliness to solitude.
For a few moments of uncontrollable laughter.
For the weekend and uninterrupted time.
For a bed to sleep in.
May you be happy and live with ease.

Thank you, EQ, he was already smiling a little yesterday.
Grateful that the front yard is clean, and although I get a little disappointed when the Christmas decorations come down, I got some of that done too.

Thank you for the "card," neferkamichael. Happy New Year to you, too!
Grateful for an awesome yoga class this morning with a new instructor. I played around and did things I didn't think I would be able to and we wrapped up with Willie Nelson's version of "The Rainbow Connection." What could be better, eh?
And grateful for the kids at the substance abuse program where I volunteer. They were really good sports about me suggesting the option of writing their own epitaph/designing their tombstone (as a values exercise) rather than just writing New Year's resolutions. Glad I am going there every week now.
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful my SIL invited me over to watch football and eat wings, especially because I had to drive there and home in the dark and that was the farthest I've driven in the dark since the accident.
Grateful I have to go back to work tomorrow because I will be forced to do my long commute. Although it is the last thing I want to do, I also know I can't go on with the tension my anticipation brings me much longer. I need to burst my fear bubble.
Grateful to take one thing at a time and control my timetable where I can.
Grateful to know that just because some other people would not share my fear, that doesn't mean anything worse about me. We all have our own path.
