A new level of gratitude for the head/scalp massages my hairstylist gives. Esp when dealing with the itchy skin of 1st couple weeks withdrawal. My senses are getting sharper for sure.

Grateful to feel my emotions. I had a tough day at work, got home and just, well, cried. Wiped my tears, made a cup of tea and reheated a slice of banana bread. After having a bad day while still in drinking-mode, I would have finished off a bottle of wine while my emotions stayed bottled up as well.

Grateful, like Chrissy, to feel the real thing and not drink it away.
Grateful to call it a day even though it's only 9.15.
Grateful that my northern hemisphere friends seem to be safe and warmly housed.

I am grateful for the newcomers to SR who are feeling some of the peace in their lives that recovery can bring.

Even though I enjoy the snow and cold, I'm grateful I live in a warm region. Prayers to all those who are enduring the very cold weather.

Grateful it's a full day ahead and some of my tasks will be fun.

Grateful I got my house door unlocked. It was acting frozen.
Grateful a colleague took my last hour of work so I could leave.
Grateful to know I have to feel worse, before I feel better.
Grateful for my home, my heat, my dog, and my pajamas.

Grateful to make it home from work on icy roads.

Grateful to swerve around cars that were going too slow.

I've found that driving too slow can actually cause more accidents cause then drivers will drive too close to each other.

Grateful for common sense cops that never pull me over for going 5 mph over the speed limit when the weather is good because they "get it."

Grateful not to drive scared.

Grateful for my employer who gave me a job at a time not a lot of people would have.

Grateful that I have an opportunity to "really" be here to help my Mom as her health is "failing" with age.

Grateful to have a family who loves & cares for me....despite my personality

Grateful for a free time surf around the Net and discovering some great blogs.
Grateful that I am far more excited about having a facial tomorrow than I ever was about having a drink.
Grateful to know my northern SR friends are still doing OK in the extreme cold.

Grateful I got to start a new part-time job doing aerial photography yesterday. I'm the pilot! (R/C quadcopter with GoPro camera) It's a start, but yes I still get to stick my hands in toilets and stuff to make a living.

Grateful for God's will and plan for my life. Grateful I can try to start every day with that thought.

Astro: what a cool job!!

Grateful for a Doctor who helped me today.
Grateful to know my limitations and know when it is time to ask an expert for help.
Grateful for my dog greeting me and bringing me the tennis ball.
Grateful I have off tomorrow and have opportunities to get a handle on some things.
Grateful I am learning that in general, most people are really quite kind.
Grateful I will get there. Failure is not an option in my mind.
Grateful to remember past times when I overcame obstacles, and to use those memories to remind myself how determined I can be.
Grateful for commitment.
Sobriety taught me commitment. So grateful.

Grateful I can say the Rangers are beating the Blackhawks 2- 0 after 1 period.
Based on past experience as a Ranger lifer, this gratitude won't last very long, so allow me to enjoy these few precious moments!!!

Sounds like what I went through recently getting off a med I had been on a good while. I was actually in quite a bit of pain. Grateful that pain has subsided.

Astro, I think I saw a guy flying a little RC quadcopter at the park where my bro and I cycled today. I asked if that's what it was, but the dude didn't hear me, I guess. Whatever it was, it was pretty cool. The park is called Hobby Park and it has areas for flying RC machines, a track for RC cars, and other stuff in addition to the mountain bike trails.

Grateful I didn't get hurt worse than I did when I toppled over again on the bike. You know, frozen mud is just as hard as ice! teehee. It hurt worse than I expected when I fell, because of the frozen-ness, but I wasn't really injured. Glad I learned from this experience.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful:
For my new doctor who actually really took time understand and to listen to me and showed so much care.
For starting weaning off the ratty AD pills I was on.
For a day with little to no anxiety and depression.
For getting stuck in a trance during hypnotherapy mp3 and waking up and wandering around in a dream state. That was weird and fantastic.
For more letting go.. For more freedom from suffering. For more calm and ease.
For forgiving myself, for giving myself some love and compassion.
For the here and now and this moment. No self, no past, no future.

For my SR community and the incredible people, support, honesty, and sharing.

For a bed to rest in tonight.
