grateful for tuesday

because today the topic in my AA mtg. is from the book "Living Sober" and bible study after that and walking at the mall and reading "The Activist" by Grisham and movie in the afternoon...

BTW, I take fishoil or flaxseed oil for body pain which makes it less painful to suit up and show up.

Grateful to be back home.
Grateful to recognize some of the things that show when I've wandered too close to the edge, and grateful that I have a few tools to help me get back to the middle of the path.
Grateful for SR where people will help me if I can't get there myself.

First, I am grateful for all of you

Next, I am grateful that today dawned better than yesterday. I feel stronger. For the first time, I am in no pain. It's marvelous.

Grateful to embrace a nicotine free way of life.

Grateful my house isn't filled with smoke.

Grateful many of my physical worries are gone because of cessation.

Grateful I live clear and sober and nicotine free.

I must admit I never liked the word "clean." I know it comes from urine tests being dirty or clean. But to think of a using addict as being dirty seems to point at a person's character.

I like the word clear & sober

Grateful for FBLs avatar.

Grateful for a fire in the fireplace.

Grateful to loll around in my pjs and watch the snow and cybershop.

Grateful for the fireplace, my pjs and robe, my laptop, and many other things that I never dreamed would be mine when I quit drinking. I had none of those things 22 months ago at quitting time, (nor did I ever think I'd have them) and I did not believe I deserved them.

Grateful we all deserve a sober life.

Grateful I found some old Christmas/birthday cards from my husband who passed away 5yrs ago. Even though bittersweet, it's reminds me of the tremendous love we shared.

Grateful for my Keurig machine. Best kitchen appliance ever!

Grateful for time off this week from work - it gives me a chance to catch up on things, spend time with both my children.

Not morning, just waking up again and headed back to sleep.

I'm Grateful this morning to be having a little bit better health than yesterday I think. Who ever said growing old is the Golden Years I think might have been high!

Grateful that my 16 year old cat was given a big tick by the vet after his annual check up this morning. Pretty good for a spoiled cat with dementia and kidney disease.
Grateful for every one of those 16 years.
Grateful that our coming work break of three weeks excites me as much as a school kid approaching summer holidays.

Grateful to try again to stay calm. I have been nervous lately.
Grateful to take one thing at a time.
Grateful to talk my anxiety down when it zooms up.
Grateful to tell my anxiety voice to scram and to go hide in a hole with my AV.
Grateful for all of you.

gratitude

grateful for sunshine in Maryland today and a warm house to be in with freezing temperatures (24F) outside.

grateful to have the good sense not to venture out on the ice and run the risk of breaking an old bone or joint(not the kind you smoke).

grateful that SnoozyQ appreciates her loving husband cause they are hard to find these days along with loving wives like mine.

grateful my wife is going to her Ala-non mtg. today as she has done for 27 years. Living with drunks like me is challenging while exciting(her words).
