Making a list of things I am grateful for puts me in a cheerful mood and keeps me from starting an emotional downward spiral.

Today I am grateful for a cook book that has my children's scribbles in it from when they were little. Now they rang in age from 25 - 30.

The attitude of gratitude has turned around my life.
Last year, 2012 in the spring, when I first started posting on the grat threads, I was so depressed about the state of my life that I often could not think of anything to say.
But the threads forced me to start. And luckily gratitude feeds on itself!

The attitude gratitude gives me peace as i take a moment to reflect on what i truly have to be grateful for and look towards my future, which was non existent 5 months ago.
