Grateful for it suddenly occuring to me that accepting (what is for me) an uncomfortable amount of help may be less about my ego and more about other peoples fulfillment that they get from giving. This just occurred to me and grateful it feels less like a rationalization then a realization.

Grateful that it also occurred to me that if the universe isn't cooperating with my plan to get to a goal that doesn't mean the GOAL itself is wrong. It could just mean my PLAN to get to my goal is wrong!! And it could mean the universe's plan incorporates more of the intentions and needs of many people I may never become aware of.

Grateful to hopefully be moving toward a sense that letting go and losing are not the same thing even though they've felt the same to me for as long as I can remember.

Grateful to be getting it:
Losing is personal, divisive, makes my body and hopes shrink, and evokes anxiety in me....
While letting go is expansive, trusting, makes me feel part of something larger and evokes inner peace.

Grateful for frustration, fear and helplessness because if I listen to it then it teaches me and I grow.

Grateful to be home safe and sound, grateful for this board, grateful for the people who have reached out to me and to everyone here who is struggling and sharing it with all of us.

In the Anorexics & Bulimics Anonymous book, it has the quote: "Give the gift of receiving; receive the gift of giving!" Not sure who said it originally, but when I went to the book to check the wording, I found my bookmark already at the page. Weird, eh?

Grateful for Hanging Rock State Park. I led a MeetUp hike with one other attendee on a trail new to me; rented a rowboat for a while; also swam & dove in the lake; had ice cream at the boathouse; found the trailhead for mountain bike trails nearby; and visited a waterfall I'd been to before, but it's a favorite. It was a gorgeous day. I drove with the windows down, singing along with the iPod.

Also grateful for mosquito repellent.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful that EQ's grat's have given me some good info to ponder this evening...thank you EQ!

Grateful that a long day is over, and I can start fresh tomorrow.

Grateful that I can now put some decisions on hold, until I am truly ready to make them. No more emotion based decision making for me.

I haven't said thank you to all of you lately but I'm so grateful for your support and hugs and comments.
I so look forward to coming to this board every night. It is like a long cool drink of water for my soul. So thank you.

The term International Super Highway made me smile Rusty, it caused me to recall pioneering computer teaching days of the 80s. Thank you!

Tonight I am so grateful that I don't drink anymore. I'm feeling miserable fighting off a cold -- taking supplements, drinking lots of water and herbal tea but, in the bad old days, it would have been a reason to drink and feel even more miserable in the morning.

So tonight I am grateful grateful grateful that I don't drink.

Wow! Sounds really nice.

Time to hook up the rusty old vintage camper for a weekend in the mountains.

Grateful my friend jumped on the bus and made it to a meeting last night.

Grateful Rusty is always here and doesn't take many nights off from us.

Grateful I heard the song Band of Gold as I was driving home and having a good cry. I was going for the big dramatic crying jag, and then the song came on and I burst out laughing.

Grateful I got my home insurance set to transfer, faxed more to mortgage company, set up an inspection and countered the bid my buyer gave today requesting I make repairs.
Grateful I found some boxes at work and got off days to move.m
Grateful I did all that while working like mad as it is a very busy time for me at work.
Very grateful I have a steady job I can rely on during this time.

Grateful that my nephew's car accident wasn't serious, and that no one was hurt.
Grateful that my sister's fall this morning wasn't too serious, and nothing was broken.
Grateful that I can DEAL with this stuff now, and help...
And wow, my family is really accident prone.
