I'm grateful for kittens

I'm a 6 foot tall, 250 lb, combat veteran and all around tough sob. My dog accidentally tore my face open this week and I needed stitches...so I broke out the needle and thread and did it myself. I had two heart attacks a few years back and I finished my shift at work and then drove myself seventy miles to the nearest hospital...and so...

It must have looked pretty ridiculous yesterday when my cat is giving birth to see me laying on the floor next to her, holding her paw, stroking her face and whispering words of encouragement to her.,,,but I'm so flippin grateful I'm clean and sober and can show up for such miracles today - in spite of myself and that tough exterior I'm invested in.

I am grateful for my (former) stray cat Freddie who adopted me last fall. He is now a spoiled house cat.

I failed at being a foster mom to my kitty, we knew she was a keeper I the moment we laid eyes on her. Kitty noses are my cryptonite...
