Grateful for another housesit with my favorite housesit kitty and a computer to use so I can come to SR!

Grateful for a sunny burgeoning spring day.

And hoping Happy Destiny's tooth problems continue to resolve! I had a monthlong toothache three years ago and it was a living nightmare that had me literally screaming and crying and begging for mercy. So my thoughts and prayers are with you!

Kim, I built a fish & lily pond in the late '80s at a guest cottage I live in off and on for about 15 years. It had a fountain and what I called a "squirtle" (a squirting turtle), water lilies, and goldfish. I miss it, although the sounds of the two aquarium filters in here somewhat make up for it.

Grateful to know I needed to breathe and pray and let some people know I might need to be reminded to deep breathe before a committee meeting tonight. I only went off and ranted a little. Most of the ranting was successfully kept in my head.

And grateful that I acknowledged I was cranky and got off the phone with my mom before I got too annoyed with her as well. Glad I know today when I need a time out.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful to experience the blues without thinking about drinking or escaping. Mainly cause time is going by so fast. I put myself in these time machines and go back in time and it's like I'm there again. The scenery, the clothes others and I are wearing, the wonderful events on that certain day that can never be lived again.

Grateful to realize that each day forward is an event. It's up to me to live life to its fullest and treasure as many minutes of the day as I can.

Grateful maybe 10 years from now I can take that time machine back to todays time and realize how special these days are. I'm sure todays fashion and ways of doing things that seem so normal now will be outdated and look kind of funny 10 years from now.

I know how that is. I need more work than I care to think about, simply can't afford. Plus I have ongoing terror of the dentist. Ah well. I am grateful for the dental help I can get and have gotten!

I sure hope the aspirin keeps working for you. I was taking literally handfuls of aspirin, morphine, lorazepam, anything to knock me out so I could sleep cuz every waking moment was torture. Oh, so grateful that time is over!

Hoping that Astro and HappyDestiny have very happy, healthy and painfree outcomes for dental issues! (Is that a gratitude? )

Once again I just have to say I am so grateful to be here on SR! My addiction was really starting to whisper more loudly and consistently in my ear and I was starting to get lulled by it. Coming here helps me get back into reality and sanity. Helps me remember what my addiction cost me and still could cost me if I fall back into it again.

Thanks to everyone here for sharing your stories and support and wisdom. Thanks for helping others to remember why we are on the road of recovery.

I'm grateful for my wonderfully supportive boyfriend of almost two years. Weve been through much together. I would not be the person I am today without his love and support.

I'm grateful that I got a wake up call to what I was doing to myself and that I found SR within moments. I'm also grateful that I still have my family, my pets, my home, my business and my whole life before me and that it's all mine to keep if I keep saying no to AV.

Grateful I got home at sunset. The rain had stopped, the fog had lifted, and i could walk the dog as the sun went down.

Grateful I was calmer at work, and told myself in the moment I did not need to be as miserable about things as I was. That it was my choice.

Grateful for choices.

Kim, yeah, the squirtle was cool, but it got clogged up and it was plastic and pieces started breaking off, so we got rid of it. I still have a stone frog from the old pond, though. He lives in the birdbath now.

Grateful I'm not so numb that I don't miss my dog.

Grateful I tried the Course in Miracles class at Unity. Not my thing, I think, but at least I was willing to check it out.

Love and hugs,
Eddie
