I am very grateful for my Godmother and the angel she was to me.
I am grateful that she was so loving and caring and did so much for me when I was a young child growing up in a scary and abusive alcoholic home. I am grateful for her example of being a strong, healthy woman and her recovery that lasted until she passed away this week.
She had the disease of alcoholism and was in a very bad way before she got into recovery, but once she got into the program she had a good life and helped so many people. She truly was an angel in this world and I am grateful that I knew her and still feel her spirit watching over me.
