I am getting ready to leave for the weekend, to go on a retreat with other alcoholic women.

I never trusted men because I knew darn right well, what thier agenda was. But at least I understood them and could use that to my advantage.

But women? Well, not only did I not trust them, but I could not figure out what any woman wanted with me! I thought they were all gossipy, trouble making, drama queens. And I did not know how to use that to my advantage! So, I never had friendships with women.

Today, I have women in my life who I absolutely trust... with my heart. With my life. To be able to have real bonds with women is something I did not expect when I came into the rooms, 3 years ago. The quality of my life is enriched because of these women and I know they are very trustworthy and honest. I am so blessed to have learned how to let people in, particulary women. I am so blessed to have women in my life who let ME into thier hearts and lives!

And for that... I am so very grateful! Thank you God!
