And my 41st birthday on monday went off without a hitch.. Second sober one since childhood. But I felt just like a child.. Great day,

Thank you Blue Angels for the show, and the dinner guests I hope left with a full belly and more peace in their lives then they had when arrived..

Carol,
I'd enjoy reading some AA Daily Readings. When I click on the link you provided, there is much information on AA. Would you mind explaining to me where to click? Thank you kindly

I'm grateful that I'm conscience in bed and not passed out with my face sticking to the pillow. I took my make up off and brushed my teeth. I didnt throw up or sleep in the bathroom to be near the toilet!

THANKS and WELCOME, pipparina!! Amazing the things we find to be grateful for in recovery, eh?

GRateful for taking a trip to the mountains yesterday to spend the night alone in the woods. Well, almost in the woods. I got to sit on the porch swing a listen to a gentle rain. Beautiful!

Also grateful that I decided to go to a support group meeting for mood disorders without my friend whom I usually drive there. It took a little extra "oomph" to make myself go alone, but it was a good choice. Yea, me!

Grateful for day 5, for a happy family (happier now that I am not drinking), for my work, for water (still and sparkling), for the opportunity to reflect and express gratitude for all things great and small, and for the community at SR.

I am grateful my workload was steady, but not overwhelming
I am grateful I made my 4pm appointment (it was pretty touch & go)
I am grateful I was able to breathe through some panicky moments, and know I wasn't going to drink to get through them

Grateful for not being mentally, emotionally, and spiritually where my poor brother is. He is so scared, angry, and obsessively controlling. I know how he feels, I think, 'cause I used to be pretty much that way myself. So glad I'm not today...mostly...

Also grateful for handling a phone call with my dad today better than I had been the last few days. I braced myself mentally before talking to him, though. Now, I need to manage him calling me unexpectedly better. Grateful for progress.
