Welcome back Eddie...:yup:

Glad to know you continue to move forward....:c011:

CarolD 06-07-2012 11:30 PM

EQ...gentle  Best wishes for a speedy calm recovery

I too was in my local hospital for 5 hours...2 blood transfusions perked me
up I've always been amused that I am Type A positive.
Perhaps that is why I did not mind saying
"I'm an alcoholic" when I joined AA?

Nah...by the end of my drinking...my blood type was the only thing positive
I had become a depressed sodden mess.

Hope everyone finds their way into a joy filled life of purpose.
Yes I have and so can you....
Good night....:ring

welcome, free!
welcome back, eddie!

Things have been really rough the last week or so. Even if it's the only thing to be grateful for, it's still the biggest one...grateful to be sober

Thanks, karilynn, Inda, RZ, Fandy, Astro, Carol, and raindancer!! It's good to be back.

Grateful tonight for starting to get the house cleaned up (2 months worth of dog and cat hair everywhere--yuck) and 2 months worth of mail sorted out and catching up some bills.

Also grateful for a nice walk outside with my longest-term friend (36 years) and her dog. I'm going to more vigilant to get outdoors and/or around people more now.

Have to rest up now. Going x-country cycling with my bro tomorrow. Whoo-hoo!

Love and hugs,
Eddie :brain

Grateful to watch the program in full action at this evenings meeting. The lead saved a new girl at least for today. :)

Sleep well all.

EternalQ 06-08-2012 08:24 PM

Grateful that my sight showed some improvement today such that I was allowed to drive in daylight.

Grateful that my wonderful doggy did well at the boarder, while I recovered... They love him and on his report card they drew a heart and wrote: "Lover Boy". LOL. Grateful that they snuggle him for me.

SoberMan2012 06-08-2012 08:30 PM

I am grateful for air conditioning.

Scolova 06-08-2012 09:20 PM

Grateful for sobriety, grateful for "woo hoo", grateful to get a bit more comfortable with our new neighbors and very grateful to except some big hugs from my cousin and her kids today, I haven't seen any of her children (except the oldest who is now thirteen), since she was around 4 years old. :)

grateful for a bunch of things tonight:

didn't have to cook dinner
enjoyed a tasty meal
laughed with kids
talked with hubby
had a meltdown and came out okay
feel resentful but am not feeding it so it's slowly going away
have no desire to drink
have desire to overcome these new challenges with hard work

Grateful for the excellent pizza place just down the street.:) Guess what I'm having for supper...:)

eddie z. 06-09-2012 03:29 PM

Grateful I was able to get back on my bike (literally) for a trail ride this morning with my bro....and no wrecks, just fun.

Also grateful to be able to share something positive on the Anorexics & Bulimics Anonymous phone meeting this afternoon.

I've had a busy and productive day and, although it's only about 6:30PM, I'm just going to veg and watch crime shows 'til bedtime, dag-nab-it!

L&H,
Eddie :brain
