Morning Gratitude Part 27
Grateful, to be reminded to practice Gratefulness. Grateful for this beautiful sunny and hot day....pool here I come. Grateful to have read a poem - The Ten Guidelines from God.....basically quit worrying, give in to a high power, start to look on the bright side of life, enjoy the little things in life, be kind, and especially to ourselves. I hope everyone has a peaceful and positive day, it's hard work, but possible.
Hello Grats.
I was going to say good morning but its afternoon. Then I really though about it and it may be nighttime for some or even the next day? Boy all that boggles my mind. I am grateful I can obsess on some pretty weird things these days.

Grateful to meet my father in town later today to watch the Preakness Race together. Grateful that we are learning to have our own relationship, without the buffer of my Mom's presence...
Grateful that even though it still gets awkward, neither of us give up... Grateful neither he nor I are drinking... Grateful he is someone I can share memories of my Mom with...

I am grateful to still be sober and not wanting to drink even though parts of my life are falling apart around me. Grateful that an abusive boyfriend finally is out of the picture, even though I had to listen to him swear non-stop at me calling me every name in the book while putting me down. I am grateful to have finally found the strength to follow my gut. Grateful to know that I have to stay strong, positive and sober to pick up the pieces now. Grateful for this site and to know I belong to a very big club, mostly of wonderful people who unfortunately like me have this disease, but a disease there is hope for.
