Today I am grateful for ..Part 5
Today I am grateful that I enjoyed a social gathering without stressing overly about alcohol. I am also grateful I could reflect on my experience in a positive manner, and talk to my wife about it. I can remind myself I am still new at this and can keep learning, avoiding the temptation to become overconfident.
One day at a time...

Today I am grateful that I saw the sun rise on a Saturday morning for the first time on years. I am grateful that I didn't have to deal with a hangover today and got in the gym to do something productive. I am thankful for all of my friends who have been super-supportive during my first week of sobriety.
I went out for my friend's 22nd birthday party last night and had the best time of my life drinking or sober.
And without getting into details...I am grateful that I woke up between two(!) beautiful women this morning. Apparently I'm quite charming when I'm not falling down drunk. I love law school, and I love sobriety.

Today I am grateful for..the fact that is snowed!!
Yes this is my first winter living in the American Southwest and we got hit with some rain on Friday night, and it snowed up in the mountains. I can see the mountain snow from my kitchen window. It is a beautiful site.

today I am grateful for the support here on SR as I relapsed on Friday night. Thanks to everyone who sent messages of support and to everyone else for sharing their stories. I would not have been sober either yesterday or today without you all.
Today I am grateful that I woke up clear-headed thanks to my first weekend in recent memory sober. My husband and I got the pantry completely cleaned and reorganized, as well as cleaned the rest of the house. I am also grateful for the privilege of reading the special prayers in church.
