Grateful for a shift in attitude and an evening thunderstorm
Grateful I got through today
Grateful for a run tonight and one scheduled with friends in the morning.
Grateful running releases my grip on things I can't control; that and the fellowship are gifts. I'm not fast but we have the power of the pack

Tonight I am grateful for all of the screw ups, pitfalls and missteps without which I would never have achieved any remote semblance of clarity or focus.

I am grateful for my children who help sharpen that focus every day and I am grateful for a forum with which to share these insights no matter how small.

I am also really grateful to know there are so many people out there that value and believe in a higher "something" or anything that helps to propel them in a direction of success.

Here is a picture of Spencer, newby. Thanks, ww & IO!!

CONGRATULATIONS, Rachel, on one week!! I've said many times there should be a chip/token/keytag for one week. And WELCOME to the thread, too!

Grateful tonight for having fun making sopes with my good friend. I had never even had them before. I love cooking with people. We also watched the BUffy musical episode, which is a true masterpiece, and played Rock Band, of course.

Also grateful for getting up early enough to go to a morning yoga class. I'm still frustrated that I'm sleeping so much and generally later than I'd like, but I think it's getting better, slowly. Speaking of sleep...

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Oh edie sooo cute I love them when they are so little, although Princess is a little over 6 years old and she acts like she is still a kitten,or a dog cause she loves to play fetch.

She has this suckling habit, when I am lying down she will climb on my back and nestle up to my neck, and lick me till it almost hurts lol.

I was told its because she was taken away from her mother to young, and chances are she will never outgrow that? Not sure if I believe that but we will see

Thanks for taking time out of your day to humor us with the picture.

Nite Nite

Missed my evening grats last night - eyelids shut before I sat at the keyboard.

Eddie.....beautiful, beautiful little kittie - reminds me of my Finnegan - little tabby - she used to drape herself around my shoulders like a mink stole and purr away.

Rachael - good news on the week - keep going...

Newby - after six years, doubt she'll outgrow the habit, and I wouldn't want her to change a thing.

Grateful to share with all of you on this thread.

Have a good one, all....

Grateful that even in their struggles with alcoholism, my parents taught me compassion, and that compassion was rekindled by my recovery program.

Grateful for an open mind and respect for those less fortunate than I have been.

Grateful to be able to respectfully disagree without being disrespectful.

Have a good night, all....

Not a whole lot to report today as I only had a few early morning appt's but I did make an apt to see someone about finding work its not till next week though.

Grateful that I might not have everything I want right now but for the most part I really do have everything I need.

Grateful to be a part of a growing business.
Grateful for a passion for learning.
Grateful for the ability to read - probably the one skill that has had the most profound effect on my life from a very early age.
Grateful for change.

Grateful to have everything I need, plenty I merely want, and to feel free of want for anything else. Grateful to have so many people in my life who genuinely care!

No problem, newby. I love taking and sharing pet pictures. Thanks, ww & IO! He is definitely a little purrpot. Your avatar is precious, too, Sneezy.

Grateful that after a year & a half, I finally got to do some volunteering at a local treatment center and shelter for kids. It did feel good to contribute although mostly I just listened today at their client rights committee meeting.

Grateful as well for making a beautiful (if I do say so myself) chocolate cake for my mom's birthday tomorrow. I did have some of the icing with graham crackers for my snack, but it is amazing that I can make and ice a chocolate cake, put it away for later, and not have it completely wig me out. Grateful for some sanity around the food.

Eddie, aww...your furry friend is a cutie!

Grateful I can slow my brain down enough to hear my thoughts these days

Grateful for my challenging job and a very kind, competent boss

Grateful I can listen with an open mind much more often lately

Grateful I appreciate the high value of sobriety now...something that just four months ago I couldn't even imagine

Nite all!

Cute Kittie Eddie!

Well put Mida.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the week, I'm so happy I proved to myself it could be done.

Grateful for a week+ in sobriety, longest for me.

Grateful that I could sit outside on the porch when the trashmen came by early this morning and I didn't run in the house because of shame of the bottles clinking....wouldn't happen because I didn't drink ALL WEEK, not since the trash went out last.

Grateful that I took a drive at 11pm just because I could, never would've happened in the past because I would've been lost in oblivion before.

Grateful that I can appreciate these small rewards of sobriety.

G'night everyone, hope you have sweet dreams.
