Grateful that when it's time to go to bed because I'm tired, I go to bed, don't get a second wind from the alcohol, stay up all night and wake up exhausted.

Grateful that I can look forward to a wonderful, rested, sober morning.

Night y'all

Grateful my day was balanced and smooth.....

grateful I can't think of anyone I'd rather be than me!. no envy
Yes I watched TV for a bit...no need to shop for a house or a briadal gown...
I saw absolutely nothing I needed to improve my happy life.

Tottleing off with a Fudge Brownie and Neil Diamond for company

Ew. I think I used to be one of those people. Still can be sometimes. At least the superiority part. Grateful the Program/Steps have made me less so.

That's why I used to swim BEHIND Casey, hold onto her tail, and let her play tugboat for me. teehee.

Grateful for another day sober from addictive substances AND self-destructive behaviors. It has not been an easy day, but it has been a successful day because I have not felt it necessary to alter my "bad" mood in any way. Hallelujah!

Love and hugs,

Grateful for a lovely surprise dinner invite, a day with old friends, my husband and another day with my feelings.

Had a rough emotional patch but it passed and I am safe and sober in bed. I did as much as I could today and grateful tomorrow is a new day. Grateful I can feel raw and that it doesn't need fixing, just needs to be felt and gotten through honestly

Tho I'm still very sad about her passing, I'm also very grateful for the thirteen wonderful years with beagirl. We gave her a great life and she gave us all her love and devotion. I'm grateful that we found her thirteen years ago. We were meant to be together.

Grateful to have met (((least))) and to share in her love for dogs. Sending good thoughts and warm wishes to my friend....

To Sneezy and Edward G... a lopidor is a special kind of lab. They care nothing for graceful motion - it is all about bold moves and big, oven mitts for paws. A lopidor never just sits - they KERPLUNK to the ground. A lopidor makes doing the soft shoe on linoleum as they round a corner in the kitchen at breakneck speed look easy (Bambi on ice can't hold a candle to a lopidor). They are a fearless and determined, yet trusting breed - they stick their heads in between the stiles of the deck because they saw the smaller dogs do it and do not care how HARD it is to get their head in there; they're gonna do it. They trust their owners will get their heads back out. A lopidor considers himself an 80 pound lapdog. All you have to do is look at a lopidor and his tail starts wagging. A lopidor is a friendly breed, and when he enters a room of twenty people, he MUST greet each and every person in that room, one by one. They are excellent hunters, which is evidenced by the way they make a beeline to the very first person in the room that is not a fan of dogs. Their radar is excellent in that respect.

My loppy is a big, floppy doppy goofball, and I love him to pieces.

Grateful my loppy lets me live with him.

Have a good night, all...

Loved reading about your sweet lopidor - what great images. You're a wonderful writer. Thanks for this - you made my day! Maybe you'll post a picture sometime?

ww, I thought all Labs were like that. Mine is anyway. Perpetual puppies.

Grateful I finally got together with someone this evening and that we didn't play Rock BAnd the whole time she was here. I made fresh hot potato chips before we played and we played Scrabble afterwards so we could actually talk a bit. I definitely needed thesocial contact.

Also grateful I did NOT contact my therapist in my funk earlier today or yesterday. I am weaning myself off of my dependence on him and it seems to be going OK. I'll prolly send him an after-the-fact message tomorrow when I'm THROUGH the tough stuff. I am a bit freaked out that I won't be seeing him this week, though.

Whew! Gotta get to bed, y'all.
Love and hugs,
Eddie
